What is natural wine?
Natural wine is made with respect for nature and minimal intervention. The grapes are typically grown organically or biodynamically, allowing the vineyard to speak for itself.
- Organic farming – grapes are grown using organic or biodynamic practices.
- Nothing added – wines are made with as few additions as possible, often with little or no added sulphur.
- Nothing removed – wines are typically neither fined nor filtered, preserving their natural character.
The result is a living wine that reflects its vineyard, vintage and the people who made it.
Where it began
“Kárpát” comes from the Carpathian Mountains, the region that shapes so much of Hungary’s landscape, vineyards and traditions.
Kárpát Tales is a passion-driven project based in Copenhagen, born from memories and deep ties to Hungary. It started out of a longing for the bottles that felt like home. Through sharing these wines, Kárpát Tales hopes to offer a more personal, layered glimpse of Hungary.
